July is the hottest month in Gothenburg with an average temperature of 16°C (61°F) and the coldest is December at 0°C (32°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 8 in July. The wettest month is October with an average of 92mm of rain. The best month to swim in the sea is in July when the average sea temperature is 17°C (63°F).
