Brewhouse Concept
The Brewhouse Concept offers incubator activities, skill development, events and concerts, a business association, pop-up officers, studios, conference facilities and applied networks. This non-profit organization was founded on the initiative of Business Region Gothenburg and its task is to contribute to the competitiveness of the region and sustainable corporate development and at the same time act as a source of inspiration for trans-boundary collaboration.

Inspirational collaboration
The building, which is just over 6000 square meter in size, now houses 100 or so small companies. They all work with culture and creative arts. By working under the same roof, there is a greater potential for creative collaboration and new business.

From a museum to a centre for creative arts
In January 2002, it was decided that the old water plant should become a centre for creative arts, specialising in music, film and media production. The building was redeveloped and refurbished and on October 6, 2004, Brewhouse was finally opened. The aim was to have purpose-designed premises for small companies but at the same time retain the industrial character of the building. The old bottling room has now been transformed into a venue for concerts, exhibitions and conferences. Externally, very few changes have been made and even today the workers from the former water plant would probably recognize their old workplace. The original Apotekarnes sign can still be seen on one of the facades.
