Language

The conference language is English. Please note that there will be simultaneous translation to Italian/English during all plenary sessions.

The conference will be hosted by the 3rd University of Rome, Faculty of Architecture, Rome, Italy – one of the younger universities of Rome located in an exciting former slaughter-house complex that is now used as a brand new inspiring venue.

How to get to the venue

Metro line B, metro stop “Piramide” or Bus 719. There will be sign-posts on the premises to guide you to the conference rooms.

Members of Culture Action Europe 

The participation of one person per Culture Action Europe member is free of charge. Additional participants are welcome subject to payment of the conference fee.

Non members

As a contribution towards conference costs, each participant is asked to pay a conference fee of 80€. The conference fee includes the whole conference programme, coffee and tea during coffee breaks and lunch on Friday.

Taxi 

The accessibility to taxis is normally not an issue in Rome, but please note that taxis are rather expensive.

Hotels

Please note that we have not made any pre-reservations and cannot assure the availability of rooms; therefore please try to book your hotel as soon as possible.

Hotels in the neighbourhoods of Testaccio and Trastevere close to the conference venue that we can recommend include Lungotevere Suite, Abitart hotel and Worldhotel Ripa Roma.

Hotels located closer to the Colosseum, with good public transportation connections, and relatively close to the venue include: Hotel Solis, Hotel Romano, Hotel Richmond Rome.

If you would prefer a Bed and Breakfast please consult www.venere.com; “a Casa a Testaccio” is located approximately a block away from the venue. For a Bed and Breakfast that is located closer to the Colosseum and other tourist attractions you can try Nicolas Inn.
