The Cultural Deal for Europe Campaign: Hub meetings

December 15, 2020, 3:04 pm

13 January 2021 | CAE Danish-Swedish Hub Meeting

Starting afresh the new 2021, Culture Action Europe, Trans Europe Halles and the Danish Centre for Arts & Interculture (CKI), in collaboration with Nordisk Kulturfond organise the CAE Danish-Swedish Hub meeting.

This event is a follow-up of the Culture Action Europe Swedish Hub meeting in January 2020. In course of getting out of a bumpy year and entering a fresh one, we are repeating the previous experience with our meeting in Denmark and Sweden. We hope to build on what was done last year so we can pave the path to the future for our sector in the Nordic region and beyond.

Following the recent cuts of the cultural budget by the Nordic Council of Ministers, it is the right time that the cultural operators in Denmark and Sweden connect and come together to:

  • Have a cultural reality check in the Nordic region (Where are we at and with whom?)
  • (Re)Think about transnational funding infrastructure(s) in the Nordic and European context.
  • Start a conversation between cultural operators and funders in the region.
  • Have the first draft of the Nordic Chapter of the Cultural Deal for Europe.

CAE Danish-Swedish Hub meeting will take place online on 13 January at 14:00 (CET). Our facilitator will be Niels Righolt, vice-president of Culture Action Europe and director of the Danish Centre for Arts & Interculture. We will have speakers from the Nordic Culture Fund and Culture Action Europe as well.

This event is part of the #CulturalDealEU campaign.
