This report provides recommendations for a sustainable Nordic and Baltic dance field and was written by the Nordic and Baltic “keðja” sustainability think tank, in which the Director of Performing Arts Hub Norway, one of CAE’s members, took part.
The Report is aimed at decision and policy makers and civil servants on local, national and international levels as well as the dance field itself. The recommendations deal with raising awareness about dance and its impact, developing competence and support structures, enhancing internationalisation and establishing sustainable funding mechanisms by providing concrete suggestions for sustainable strategies. The study has been led in parts of the Nordic and Baltic region but the recommendations issued can be applied elsewhere in Europe.
