There is no future without culture. And that is why Culture Action Europe joined forces with other international cultural networks (Arterial Network, ICOMOS, IFCCD, IFLA, IMC and UGLG) and proposed the #Culture2030Goal campaign.

The campaign advocates for the integration of culture into sustainable development. It builds on the foundation of the #culture2015goal campaign, first launched in 2013 to ensure culture’s inclusion in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which was adopted in September 2015. The Culture 2030 Goal Campaign focuses on engaging with the UN System, targeting key bodies like the UN General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), as well as relevant agencies such as UNESCO, UNDP, and UN-Habitat.

Through our statements and advocacy publications, as well as through engaging in a dialogue with UN, governmental and other stakeholders we aspire to place culture in the centre of the UN 2030 Agenda, highlighting the importance of making culture a distinct goal in the post-2030 development landscape and to promote the need for a comprehensive global agenda for culture.
