On 22-24 June, the Hungarian EU Presidency is organising the first joint informal meeting between senior officials of Ministries of Culture and senior officials responsible for culture in Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
The aim of the meeting is to develop an integrated approach to culture in external relations. The topics to be discussed include: culture as a priority in the EU external relations; the role of culture in the EU international development cooperation; and culture as a strategic action in the context of the European Agenda for Culture.
In the context of the meeting, and in collaboration with the Roberto Cimetta Fund and On-the-Move, the we are more campaign has issued a statement on culture in the external relations of the EU.
