BEYOND goes regional: Call for hosts of Satellite BEYOND gatherings

On the heels of an energetic and motivating central BEYOND 2025 in Turin, Culture Action Europe is taking the next step and opening the call for hosts of Satellite BEYOND gatherings between September 2025 and August 2026.

BEYOND is Culture Action Europe’s main framework for collective reflection and action across Europe’s cultural and creative sectors. It’s a space to explore bold ideas about the future of culture while standing up for core values like cultural democracy, ethical leadership, and cultural rights. More than a single event, BEYOND is a continuous process of co-creation and dialogue. It fuels CAE’s advocacy work and helps strengthen connections across the cultural field.

BEYOND unfolds in two main formats:

  • Central BEYOND, a biennial flagship gathering that brings the network together.

  • Satellite BEYOND, a series of local and regional events hosted by members and partners.

Together, they create an ongoing cycle of engagement that balances big-picture reflection with local perspectives. This rhythm keeps Culture Action Europe’s work grounded in real experiences while staying responsive to policy developments. Through BEYOND, Culture Action Europe connects grassroots cultural realities with the institutions shaping Europe’s cultural future.

Today, Culture Action Europe is officially launching the call for its members to apply to host the first Satellite BEYOND gatherings, which will take place this year. Satellites provide an opportunity to bring BEYOND’s vision deeper into diverse communities, fostering exchange on cultural leadership and democracy in ways that resonate and activate local contexts.
