The cultural participation of people with disabilities or impairements: how to create an accessibility plan

This publication aims to present an holistic vision of what it means to create conditions for access to cultural participation, as well as help cultural organisations to build their accessibility plans. Responding to the needs of people with disabilities – audiences, but also team members and collaborators – cultural organisations show respect for fundamental rights and fulfill their mission.

Throughout the manual, we share guidelines and general recommendations, which relate to any type of cultural space (theatres, concert halls, cinemas, museums, galleries, libraries, archives).

This publication was an initiative by Lisboa Camara Municipal, Polo Cultural | Gaivotas Boavista, and commissioned by Acesso Cultura.
