Access to Social Protection: Reflections from CAE

The forms of employment are diversifying. Are these “atypical” operating modes impacting access to social protection for workers who don’t have a conventional employment status? How do changes on the European labour market impact access to social protection?

CAE compared data from different countries (and therefore different social protection models), in order to identify both what social protection mechanisms are most adapted to atypical employment situations and which specific areas of social protection still need adapted solutions for atypical workers.

“CAE Reflection Paper on Rights: Survey is the outcome of a Europe-wide survey, carried out by SMart and CAE. The data collected shows that the further away from a permanent job, the less access to social protection.

“Access to Social Protection for Citizens with Irregular Work-Income” is CAE’s another reflection paper on this issue.
