Ortaklaşa: Culture, Dialogue and Support Programme
Ongoing project
The Ortaklaşa: Culture, Dialogue and Support Programme aims to deepen cultural collaboration and ties between civil society organisations working in the fields of culture and the arts in Türkiye and Europe between 2026-2029 to support local cultural policies and collaboration through sub-grants, community-building, advocacy and mentorship. It builds upon the foundations of the earlier phases of the Ortaklaşa journey and is implemented by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) in partnership with Culture Action Europe and supported by European Union funding.
The first phase of Ortaklaşa demonstrated that local culture is not only about artistic expression—it is about rebuilding relationships, strengthening social cohesion, and shaping a shared future. The programme builds upon these co-creative foundations at the international level, uniting the experiences of varying scales within a common ecosystem and opening ensuring cooperation that caters to the actual needs of cultural and arts organisations.
The mentorship programme will provide tailored learning models, while the sub-grant programme will establish sustainable partnerships between Turkish and European cultural actors. Beneficiaries selected for mentorship will be provided with assistance tailored to their institutional needs, with the pool of mentors comprised of experts from the field of arts and culture, local governments, and more.
