Call for Projects “Actors of Urban Change”

The Robert Bosch Stiftung and MitOst e.V. have launched the call of the second edition of its project “Actors of Urban Change” which aim is to achieve sustainable and participatory urban development through cultural activities. Cross-sectorial projects teams of 3 persons gathering the cultural, the administration and the private sectors, will be created to implement a project in their city.
Culture is both “a tool and context” in this project and it addresses social, political and environmental challenges linked to urban changes. It includes citizen participation, affordable housing/gentrification, inclusion/integration, cultural diversity, accessibility of (formerly) public urban resources and spaces, sustainable mobility, health and physical activity, green city/climate change…
Over the course of 18 months, ten teams from various European cities receive support for the implementation of their local projects and obtain professional qualification, as well as networking opportunities. Each team will receive 2 grants up to 5000€ from local and international experts to implement its project. The project also includes a training aspect through 5 international academic meetings in different European cities (with lectures, facilitated workshops, peer learning sessions and field trips). Besides, every participant is given the chance to do a 10-day internship in other program participants’ cities.
