CAE at Voices of Culture | Culture & non-urban areas

On February 4-5, the Co-founder of Mapa das Ideias Inês Camara will represent Culture Action Europe at the Brainstorming meeting on “The Role of Culture in non-urban areas of the European Union”. The event, hosted by Voices of Culture, will gather representatives from 35 different organisation who will share their input on several issues: from the lack of density of cultural institutions, creative makers and participants in cultural offers, to the need of cultural policy answers to the different types of rural and non-urban areas.

Inês will bring CAE’s observations to the discussion. Through out the whole “Beyond the Obvious 2019” conference we developed a comprehensive approach towards culture and cultural and artistic practices in peripheral and non-urban areas that will hopefully give some interesting sparks to the conversation.

The Brainstorming meeting will take place at Fagus-Werk in Alfeld, Germany.
