Culture Action Europe Board has happily accepted the proposal submitted by the Västra Götaland Region to host the 2015 edition of “Beyond the Obvious”.
The CAE Conference will then take place in Göteborg, Sweden, in mid October.

“Beyond The Obvious” is the Culture Action Europe Annual Public Conference that is held in a different place every year in autumn. The aim is to explore the future borders and edges of culture and move beyond those conventional assumptions, beliefs and practices that impede the contribution of culture to social and economic regeneration at a local, national and European level.
Every year the Conference focus on a different “challenge”, that will be decided by Culture Action Europe after the location is chosen.
“Beyond The Obvious” is an occasion where different and sturdy perspectives can be amplified, examined and shared in a local, European and international context.
The style and the format of speeches and dialogues are designed to be innovative. Moreover, during the conference the contributions of participants will be challenged in real hands-on working sessions during which delegates will engage in a ‘laboratory-style’ approach to what is discussed and shared.
