Lunchtime Session | Digital and AI Action Group: AI Strategy for the CCS Recommendations

Where: Online
When: 11 May 2026 13:00 - 14:00
Add to calendar:

How should the European Union approach artificial intelligence in the cultural and creative sectors?

This lunchtime session will explore this question and be led by the Co-Chairs of the Digital and AI action group. The action group, which is jointly led by Culture Action Europe and Michael Culture Association, has developed a series of Recommendations to share with the European Commission ahead of the upcoming AI Strategy for the Cultural and Creative Sectors, a flagship action in the Culture Compass for Europe expected in early 2027.

This lunchtime session coincides with the publication of the group’s Recommendations and will:

  • provide an overview of the action group and its working process
  • contextualise the upcoming AI Strategy for the CCS and its importance
  • present the main principles and Recommendations of the action group
  • provide a space for discussion, peer-to-peer learning, and experience-sharing

Make sure to join the session if you are curious about the upcoming Strategy, if you wish to learn more AI in the cultural and creative sectors, or if you have any related experiences you wish to share.
