Different Times, New Solutions: CAE Nordic-Baltic Satellite BEYOND
Hosted by: CAE Nordic Hub, Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture (NDPC), Space–Time Works AB, and Nordic Music Days and Baltic New Music Days
The CAE Nordic–Baltic Hub, together with the Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture (NDPC), Space–Time Works, and Nordic Music Days and Baltic New Music Days, will host the 2026 CAE Satellite Meeting in Riga. The gathering will take place 14–16 April in parallel with the Baltic New Music Days festival. At a time when cultural workers across Europe face shifting conditions, from questions of sustainability and wellbeing to challenges around identity, belonging, and representation, we ask how we can imagine new solutions for different times. The meeting will explore sustainability in its broadest sense, including the working conditions and wellbeing of cultural workers, while also addressing cultural identity across the Nordic region, the Baltic region, UK and Europe. Drawing inspiration from the unconferencing approach of CAE’s Beyond conference, the Satellite Meeting will prioritise open formats, peer exchange, and dialogue shaped by participants rather than fixed panels.
