Democracy International’s ECI Info Packet for Civil Society Organizations

Democracy International, a key partner for ECI Day during Civil Society Week, has released an ECI Info Packet tailored specifically for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). Available in all EU languages, this resource aims to equip CSOs with essential information about the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI).

Crafted collaboratively with CSOs, this packet prioritizes the sector’s needs, questions, and concerns. Its goal is to empower more CSOs to engage with the ECI, whether by supporting existing initiatives or launching their own. It’s evident that CSO backing is crucial for the success of ECIs. Without strong support from civil society, initiatives often struggle to gather the necessary signatures. Democracy International seeks to bridge this gap by facilitating greater CSO involvement in the ECI process.
