The Budapest Observatory crunches data on Cultural expenditures

Using data provided by Eurostat, the Budapest Observatory shows that, by 2013 and 2014, central government spendings on culture of 23 European countries dropped below the 2004 amount. It underlines, however, that “more than half of all public money on culture is spent locally”.
