Watch the documentary about Perform Europe, an EU-funded project, launched in December 2020 by IETM, EFA, Circostrada, EDN, and IDEA Consult. The goal of the project is to revise cross-border performing arts presentations in a more inclusive and sustainable way.
19 partnerships from 40 Creative Europe countries participated in the pilot scheme, which ran over 18 months. In the scope of this pilot, 85 producers and presenters tested their innovative touring and distribution schemes. They offered more than 250 presentations of over 45 artistic works across 27 Creative Europe countries and the UK through The Perform Europe Live platform.
In June 2022 Bozar (Brussels, Belgium) hosted an event where Perform Europe’s artists, presenters, jury members, and key stakeholders met in person and explored Perform Europe’s impact and presented the policy recommendations to the European Institutions and Member states. The recommendations include ideas on how to strengthen sustainable and inclusive collaborations across the Creative Europe region.
Perform Europe’s Documentary reflects and unveils how the participation in Perform Europe pilot scheme impacted on the partnerships and communities to which they toured. Also, the documentary gives the opportunity to look behind the scene, particularly at the selection process.
