Speakers, including UNESCO representatives and UN Special Rapporteur, emphasised the significance of recognising culture as a pillar of sustainable development and highlighted upcoming milestones like the UN Summit of the Future in September 2024. Light was shed on the agency’s advocacy efforts and the panelists addressed persisting challenges in including culture in national agendas.
