On 19–20 May 2025, the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre and CAE Centre Geographical Hub will host a Satellite BEYOND gathering in Gdańsk, Poland, at the St. John’s Centre, one of the venues of the BSCC. Conceived as a lunch-to-lunch, accessible and wellbeing-oriented event, the meeting will bring together cultural leaders, practitioners, artists and researchers to exchange perspectives on the future of culture in the Centre region.

The programme will combine conversations, workshops and artistic formats, creating a space for reflection, peer learning and regional dialogue within the broader BEYOND framework. The Satellite will address key topics relevant to the Centre region, contributing to social and cultural resilience, including the role of AI in the cultural and creative sectors, green transformation and sustainability, culture and wellbeing, freedom of artistic expression, and the capacity of cultural institutions to support social cohesion and dialogue.

Through foresight-oriented approaches, participants will reflect on possible futures for culture in the region and explore how local experiences and institutional practices can inform European-level discussions. As part of BEYOND, the event contributes to strengthening connections between regional cultural ecosystems and CAE’s policy and advocacy work.
