Lunchtime Session: Rethinking Digital Practices and Spaces

Where: Online
When: 26 June 2025 13:00 - 14:00

As the corporations that own some of the most widely-used digital tools accrue more and more economic and political power, it is time for institutions to act.

Last April, impulsed by Reset! Network and the European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC), over 20 EU-funded cultural and media organisations and cooperation projects have addressed a letter to the European Commission, asking that it take on a leading role in tackling the issue. Their proposal is concrete: promoting the adoption of ethical, European-based digital tools and platforms among European cultural organisations through the Creative Europe funding scheme.

On June 26th from 13.00 – 14.00 CEST, Laurent Bigarella and Manon Moulin (co-coordinator and editorial officer, Reset! Network) and Lucy Perineau (coordinator, ENCC’s working group on Digital Ethics) will explain the motives behind this initiative and why it is important to endorse it.
