Lunchtime Session | EU Artists’ Charter Blueprint

Where: Online
When: 5 October 2026 13:00 - 14:00
Add to calendar:

Culture Action Europe launched a new edition of the Action Group on working conditions in the cultural sector earlier this year. Its purpose was to inform the development of the European Commission’s EU Artists’ Charter, through consultation with and grounded in the expertise of its members. After weeks of consultations and co-creation by the group, co-facilitated with Platform ACCT, this lunchtime session will present the EU Artists’ Charter Blueprint proposal created by the action group.

The blueprint builds on the Working Conditions chapter of the discussion paper ‘Towards the Culture Compass: a Sector Blueprint’ (co-developed with Creative FLIP), and was written across four action group meetings between April and September 2026. Among other things, the blueprint includes dedicated chapters on scope and definitions, principles, implementation, social conditionality and EU funding, among other things.

Join this session if you wish to learn more about the content of the EU Artists’ Charter Blueprint, the process underpinning its creation, and how the Charter can be used to advocate for stronger working conditions for the cultural and creative sectors.
