Creative Europe @ the Festival of the New European Bauhaus

June 9, 2022, 3:45 pm | June 11, 2022, 4:15 pm

From 9 to 12 June, the Culture Strand Offices of the Creative Europe Desk community are participating in the Fair of the New European Bauhaus Festival! On 10 Jun, Culture Action Europe’s Policy Director, Gabriele Rosana, will contribute during the session, “What is the role of Arts and Culture in the NEB initiative?”

Compelled by the Position paper on the New European Bauhaus of Culture Action Europe, this panel is an invitation to reflect and debate if and how cultural and arts organisations can be more actively engaged in the New European Bauhaus initiative.

The New European Bauhaus Festival, taking place June 9-12 in Brussels, will bring together stakeholders from all horizons to debate and shape our future landscape. It is also a unique opportunity to engage citizens and raise awareness of the power of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) values of beauty, sustainability and solidarity to address societal challenges. For its first edition, all festival events, such as conferences, exhibitions, seminars or other meetings, combine a live event on site with a virtual online component.

The Creative Europe Desks provide information, counseling, and guidance on how to navigate the maze of funding opportunities within Creative Europe – EU’s support scheme for Europe’s cultural and creative sectors.

One of the supporting structures that specifically targets organisations and projects aligned with the New European Bauhaus values, Creative Europe emphasizes international cooperation in creating innovative solutions for the cultural industries. This is of course true for the design and architecture sectors. But Creative Europe also covers visual arts, the audio-visual sectors, cultural heritage, performing arts, music, museums, festivals, and many more sectors, whose skills, ideas, and potentials run the risk of being overlooked in the context of the New European Bauhaus.

At the Creative Europe Desks booth, you can learn about the funding opportunities for your project within Creative Europe, book one-on-one meetings with counselors, receive feedback on your ideas, and search for partners within the many different cultural and creative sectors across Europe.

The booth is co-organised by the Culture Strand Offices of Creative Europe Desks of Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.

The Culture Strand Offices of the Creative Europe Desks will be at the Fair from 9 to 11 June.
