Following the recent Coronavirus spread, Culture Action Europe (CAE), the European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC), IETM – International network for contemporary performing arts, and Trans Europe Halles (TEH) decided to move our Beyond the Urban event online.

Timing remains the same: tune in here on Monday 16 March at 10.00 CET to our Beyond the Urban webinar. We will publicly launch our “Beyond the Urban: Contemporary arts and culture in non-urban areas as keys to a sustainable and cohesive Europe” policy paper jointly developed by CAE, ENCC, IETM and TEH and present our joint recommendations. During the webinar, we will make room for live interaction between participants.

No prior registration is needed, simply tune in at 10.00 CET:

Cultural Action Europe, the European Network of Cultural Centres, IETM and Trans Europe Halles will host a morning event on March 16 to discuss joint policy recommendations aiming at supporting culture in non-urban areas.

Building on many years of fieldwork on the topic and different perspectives from the four networks involved, the joint project aims to highlight the significance of culture and the arts in non-urban and peripheral areas, identify challenges for the many existing and potential projects in those areas, and offer policy solutions to support them.

The programme includes:

  • A networking breakfast with policymakers and key actors of the cultural field.
  • Presentation of our policy paper.
  • Debate and discussion with stakeholders.
  • Inspirational keynote on the transversal future of non-urban areas.

We would be very happy if you could join us, bring your perspective and participate in the debate and in fine-tuning our recommendations. Register by filling in this form.
