Action Group on Working Conditions: Meeting #4

Culture Action Europe has launched a new edition of the Action Group on working conditions in the cultural sector. Its purpose is to inform the development of the European Commission’s EU Artists’ Charter, through consultation with and grounded in the expertise of our members.

Following three online meetings convened for the action group, the purpose of this meeting is to present the draft EU Artists’ Charter created and how to promote and disseminate the Charter so that it reaches and resonates with the sector. The draft includes dedicated chapters on scope and definitions, principles, implementation, social conditionality and EU funding, among other things.

The group has built upon on the Working Conditions chapter of the discussion paper ‘Towards the Culture Compass: a Sector Blueprint’ (co-developed with Creative FLIP), which set out initial directions for what the Charter could include.
