From European Visions to Local Implementation: Culture and Health Roundtable

This online roundtable is part of the ongoing efforts of the CultureAndHealth Platform, a four-year initiative co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by Culture Action Europe, in partnership with EUREGHA. The platform supports over 200 emerging artists across Europe working at the intersection of culture, health, care, education, and the social sectors.

This roundtable focuses on raising awareness on the important interlink between Culture and Health, building on the activities of the CultureAndHealth Platform and on key experts’ contributions, covering institutional (EU and WHO) and research perspectives. Particular focus will be placed on the role played by regional and local health authorities in driving the culture and health agenda forward, with key examples from regions across Europe. A series of breakout discussions will follow to enable an exchange of practices, policy and possible collaboration across sectors and stakeholders.

This session is part of the CultureAndHealth Platform’s ongoing commitment to awareness raising, capacity-building, and networking between professionals, practitioners and policy makers across the culture and health sectors.

Aims of the online roundtable: 

• Learn from Experts contributions and institutions: Hear from key experts and institutional representatives about the interconnection between Culture and Health.

• Regional voices: Learn from existing practices connecting culture and health from the regional level

• Awareness raising: Highlight the benefits of culture’s contribution to health and wellbeing and how the CultureAndHealth Platform empowers artists working at the intersection of culture and health.

• Connection and next steps: Foster exchange between sectors and experts and set the stage for future collaboration at the European level

• Audience: Regional and local authorities from the EUREGHA network and beyond, EU Health Policy stakeholders, experts and interested parties working at the intersection between culture and health.
