Satellite Beyond Info Session
During this Info Session for CAE Members on 22 July 2025 from 14.00-15.00 CEST, you will hear directly from Culture Action Europe about the Satellite BEYOND and ask questions you may have as potential hosts when applying to our Call for Interest for Satellite hosts. Come to learn more and get inspired before putting in your application!
What is the Satellite BEYOND?
Satellite BEYOND events are regional gatherings hosted by CAE members or a group of members (CAE Geographical Hubs), often in collaboration with local institutions or networks. These editions are grounded in principles of decentralisation, proximity, and contextual sensitivity.
Satellite BEYONDs aim to:
- Address cultural issues and priorities specific to local or regional contexts
- Create a space for radical imagination and proposals
- Provide a platform for dialogue, experimentation, and capacity-building
- Strengthen connections between local realities and EU-level advocacy
By expanding the reach of Central BEYOND, Satellites democratise participation and amplify diverse cultural voices, ensuring that CAE’s European advocacy is informed by a wide spectrum of experiences and perspectives.
In the period from September 2025 to August 2026, six Satellite BEYOND events will take place across Europe, each hosted in the following regions:
- North: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom
- West: Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland
- Centre: Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia
- South-West: Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain
- South-East: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia
- East: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Türkiye, Ukraine
The Satellite BEYOND editions are hosted by Culture Action Europe members in possible collaboration with other local and regional stakeholders, whether or not they are part of the Culture Action Europe network.
Each event will rotate between countries within the region and is overseen by a local host, with support from Culture Action Europe (CAE) on methodology, communication, content, and speakers (if needed). Local organisers are responsible for logistics.
