Lunchtime Session | Cultural Pearls: Engaged communities – resilient cities

Where: Online
When: 27 February 2025 13:00 - 14:00

Join us for the next Lunchtime Session, hosted by CAE members Baltic Sea Cultural Centre (Gdańsk, PL) and project leader for the BSR Cultural Pearls project, Felix Schartner Giertta.

In Cultural Pearls, we believe that culture serves as a vital force for strengthening and enriching our communities in many meaningful ways. We encourage city administrations to embrace a broad understanding of culture as a platform for open dialogue among citizens, decision-makers, and all stakeholders. Together, we can address important issues, identify challenges, and collaboratively develop creative solutions. Trust, belonging and engagement are the outcomes of this approach – building vibrant and resilient cities.

The Cultural Pearls title, awarded with the support of an independent international jury, recognizes cities that demonstrate remarkable initiatives aimed at fostering resilient and vibrant communities. Our goal is to assist these cities in bringing their ambitious visions to life. The call for applications to become the next Cultural Pearl is currently open.

As we approach the transition from an Interreg project to a long-term format we are excited to launch the Cultural Pearls Network. This network aims to continue promoting the role of culture in effective city management for the benefit of all citizens.

Join us on 27 February, 13.00 CET to learn more about Cultural Pearls and their ongoing work.
