CultureAndHealth Artists’ Roundtables: Working with trauma affected beneficiaries in culture and health
This event brings together artists working with trauma affected beneficiaries in culture and health to reflect on how their practices can support well-being.
We are proud to have Veronika Skliarova to introduce the topic “Working with trauma affected beneficiaries in culture and health”. She is Ukrainian a cultural manager, theatre producer, and art curator. Afterwards, we will hear from Olena Morokhovska, whose practice combines weaving, photography, video and installation to examine how personal and collective histories become embedded in places and objects. We continue with a presentation by Angeliki Kardamaki and her colleagues Christen Kong, Lalithashree Ganesh and Gout Algloob, who co-led “An anthology: Trauma informed practice. Practicing Care in global contexts”. Lastly, we will hear the reflections of our Finish Platform artist Aisha Korpela, who has been working for many years at the intersection of arts, trauma, mental health, violence prevention and social care.
