Diverse modes of implementation

The developed master study module will comprise of a total of 30 ECTS of MAST-specific courses ranging from 4 to 8 ECTS such as workshops, seminars, and an industry-challenge course, tandem mentorships etc., mostly focusing on the practical competencies, trans-disciplinary knowledge and transferable skills.

International experience in the Art-Science-Technology (A-S-T ) realms

The students’ international academic experience will, along the two semesters travel through the realms of interface and experience design (Funchal, Madeira in November), interdisciplinary entrepreneurship in digital technologies (Budapest, Hungary in January), a choice of current new-media (art) topics such as biotechnology and (post)internet artistic practices (Nova Gorica, Slovenia in March), and studies of space design as pertaining to the human body (Graz, Austria in April), to eventually culminate at an “Interfacing Academy” event in Rijeka, Croatia (June/July). The developed international study module will be eventually shared among three universities and will consist of a maximum of 60 ECTS worth of courses in case the student develops a master thesis and/or project in the A-S-T realm. The module is geared towards interdisciplinary and collaborative entrepreneurship as well as career-management and strives to answer the needs of both public (academic intrapreneurship, specialised institutions) and the private sector (companies, NGOs).
