Different takes on care online talks | Take Two

In these talks, we focus on politics, ethics and aesthetics of care, care for the planet and communities, care for each other. We specifically discuss the evidence on the role of culture in improving health and well-being and will ask ourselves how can culture and participation in the cultural life of communities nourish the sense of social and individual well-being.

We are delighted to announce and invite you to join Culture Action Europe’s Beyond the Obvious online talks in April and May 2023. These online talks will serve as stepping stones on a path towards the in-person conversations in June 2023 during the Handle with Care: Culture for Social Well-Being gathering.

Different takes on care: take two

Our conversations on care continues. We continue to highlight the concept of care from various angles and perspectives. In this conversation with Jill K. Sonke (researcher and practitioner, arts in medicine), Darren Abrahams (ex-opera singer turned psychotherapist and coach) and Burak Sayin (founder and CEO of Space-time Works and board member of CAE) we will focus on how we as cultural workers can facilitate the creation of more caring societies, how arts and culture can heal and at the same time provoke critical and sometimes uncomfortable thinking?

Watch “Different Takes on Care | Take Two” that took place on Tuesday 16 May 2023, 13:00-14:00 CEST.
