Different takes on care online talks | Take One
In these talks, we focus on politics, ethics and aesthetics of care, care for the planet and communities, care for each other. We specifically discuss the evidence on the role of culture in improving health and well-being and will ask ourselves how can culture and participation in the cultural life of communities nourish the sense of social and individual well-being.
We are delighted to announce and invite you to join Culture Action Europe’s Beyond the Obvious online talks in April and May 2023. These online talks will serve as stepping stones on a path towards the in-person conversations in June 2023 during the Handle with Care: Culture for Social Well-Being gathering.
Different takes on care: take one
We are thrilled to announce the speakers of this conversation – Maja Kuzmanoviç (co-founder of the foAM network), Airan Berg (artistic director and theatre maker) and Rocío Nogales Muriel (Member of the Spanish Network of Community Culture Entities and Agents (REACC) and board member of CAE).
“Different takes on care: take one” talk aims at opening a conversation about care. What do we mean by care? What are the ethics of care? How can we, in these turbulent days, direct ourselves towards a caring future – through creativity – future that is embedded in the concept of care, care for the planet, human and non-human. Can we, as cultural workers, artists, scientists, thinkers propose a path towards a renewed social construct inspired by well-living (buen vivir), developing a sense of collective, common and caring?
Handle with Care | Beyond the Obvious online talk “Different takes on care: take one” took place on Tuesday, 18 April 13:00-14:00 (CEST).
